Skrócony opis: |
(tylko po angielsku) The course aims to present forms of environmental degradation and practices for restoring their production capacity, including methods of restoring utility value to soils and waters by using appropriate technical, agrotechnical, and biological treatments. The classification of degraded areas, general principles of reclamation and remediation, methods and substances used in reclamation and remediation treatments are presented. Rules for the renaturalization of rivers and wetlands are presented. |
Pełny opis: |
(tylko po angielsku) Example topics: - Remediation, reclamation, degraded areas, and land use: definitions, basic terms, legal regulations. - Environmental hazards, - Sources of environmental pollution, - Forms of environmental degradation (soil, land, water, areas) - Classification of degraded and devastated areas, - Reclamation – introduction to the problem, general rules of remediation, and the importance of vegetation cover. - Reclamation methods, - Reclamation and management of the areas degraded as a result of the activities of: underground mining, surface and hole mining, energy, chemical, food and agriculture industries, - Sub-division of reclamation phases: preparatory reclamation, technical and biological reclamation. Main tasks of the individual phases. - Directions of reclamation and management of degraded land, reclamation solutions used in Poland and Europe. - Revitalization and renaturalization of areas, - Land reclamation of eroded and flooded areas, as well as principles of restoration of rivers and lakes. - Restoration of the water environment (assumptions, principles, directions): wetland and river valleys habitats. |
