Seminarium badawcze ma na celu zachęcić do projektów łączących literaturę ze sztukami wizualnymi, twórczość łączącą obie praktyki. Chodzi tu na przykład o zagadnienie ekfrazy w literaturze, powiązań literatury z fotografią, malarstwem, rzeźbą, problematyka ilustracji wzajemnych inspiracji pomiędzy pisarzami i artystami wizualnymi. |

Po ukończeniu kursu student, Wiedza ma pogłębioną wiedzę jak sztuki wizualne wpływały na i wzbogacały literaturę amerykańską posiada zaawansowaną umiejętność posługiwania się pojęciami i paradygmatami badawczymi z zakresu literatury amerykańskiej i jej powiązań ze sztukami wizualnymi Umiejętności potrafi przeprowadzić analizę tekstu stosując oryginalne podejścia, uwzględniając kontekst sztuk wizualnych, badań nad ekfrazą posiada pogłębioną umiejętność przygotowania wyczerpujących wystąpień ustnych na tematy dotyczące zagadnień szczegółowych wybranej specjalizacji dyplomowej, potrafi wyszukiwać, analizować i użytkować informacje, wykorzystując różne źródła oraz formułować na tej podstawie krytyczne sądy Kompetencje społeczne rozumie rolę podstawowej wiedzy o literaturze dla zrozumienia zmian kulturowych w Stanach Zjednoczonych aktywnie współdziała i pracuje w grupie wykorzystuje wiedzę zdobytą podczas kursu do dalszych studiów nad kulturą Stanów Zjednoczonych |
