Objective and subjective social isolation, social cognition and inhibitory control — EEG/ECG study + prerequisites: - completion of EEG part of Methods in Neuroscience (February 2020) - basic behavioral data analysis and statistical skills +available activities: - task preparation in NBS Presentation - participant preparation and EEG/ECG data collection - physiological data preprocessing and analysis + learning outcomes: - knowledge of behavioral data analysis in R environment - knowledge of physiological data analysis with MATLAB, EEGlab/ERPlab and Kubios/HRVTool methods - experience in EEG techniques and study protocols 2. How does loneliness impact social information processing? From neural activity through physiological markers to everyday functioning + prerequisites: - basic behavioral and neuroimaging analysis skills + available activities: - task preparation in NBS Presentation - participant preparation and fMRI data collection - fMRI, physiological and ESM data preprocessing and analysis + learning outcomes: - knowledge of behavioral data analysis in R environment - knowledge of structural and functional fMRI data analysis with MATLAB + SPM based toolboxes - experience in fMRI protocols - experience in wearable techniques and ESM study protocols Possible topics for masters dissertations: Preliminary ideas: - Social brain structure in lonely individuals - Loneliness and resting brain networks - Resting brain activity, social cognition and schizophrenia - From lab to real life — correspondence of wearable and stationary physiocological measurement |
