Teaching methods: |
Eclectic method. Communicative, task-based approach. The main emphasis is laid on: - speaking (i.a. expressing your own ideas, reporting and discussing) - understanding authentic materials - taking notes/writing short texts The focus is also on expanding vocabulary and reviewing grammar by means of audio and video materials, texts, exercises and the internet websites. |
Assessment methods and assessment criteria: |
Obtaining credits entails: -attendance (students are entitled to three absences per semester without any excuse) - active participation in classwork - students’ own presentations, written and oral assignments, passing mini-tests |

An Upper intermediate English course (B2) for students of the Faculty of Biology and other faculties at the University of Warsaw. General profile. Themes: travel, wild nature and ecology, discovering the world and its mysteries, unusual places, people and their stories. In case it is required, classes will be run online using Google Meet platform. |
