Teaching methods: |
Platform: reading and listening to texts, doing tasks such as multiple-choice questions, gap fills, True/False statements. Classroom: Eclectic methods of teaching with emphasis placed on developing the students’ communicative abilities. The aim is to activate the students through individual and group work, discussions and role-playing. |

Assessment methods and assessment criteria: |
Blended course (25% in-class work, 75% online) The conditions for obtaining a positive final grade are: 1) completing all tasks on the CKC platform within the deadlines specified in the Course Schedule on the home page. 2) not exceeding the allowed number of two absences from in-class meetings. If you obtain less than 60% points for your work on the e-learning platform (separately for open and closed tasks) and/or less than 60% for your attendance, you cannot sit the final test and thus will not obtain credit. The final test will be administered in a lecture room (during a face-to-face meeting), NOT on the e-learning platform. Grading scale 99-100% 5! (excellent) 93–98% 5 (very good) 87–92% 4+ (good plus) 77–86% 4 (good) 71–76% 3+ (sufficient plus) 60–70% 3 (sufficient) For completing 60 hours of classes, i.e. achieving the assumed learning outcomes, the student receives 2 ECTS. In order to receive a credit, the student must obtain a minimum of 60% of the marks for the final test. For obtaining 59% or less points for the final test, the student has the right to improve the test result. |

In-class meetings: 8.10, 22.10, 5.11, 19.11, 3.12, 17.12, 14.01.2025 A 60-hour course for (lower) upper intermediate students. This is an online course with seven in-class meetings. . In-class meetings: The materials are available on the platform CKC:: http://kampus.ckc.uw.edu.pl/ To take part in the course one has to register and log-in (The PESEL and USOS entry necessary) on the platform CKC. This course can be taken only once. |
