The aim of the class is to introduce the critique of sustainable development and to present alternative concepts of social-ecological transformation, such as degrowth, doughnut economics or ecomodernism. These concepts will be discussed using particular examples of solutions and policies advocated and implemented both locally, nationally and globally – from food cooperatives, to Green New Deal. Through the classes, students will not only understand the latest trends in the sustainability discussions, but also learn about cutting-edge solutions applied so far on a small scale, which may soon become part of the mainstream transformation toolbox. |

The objective of this module is to provide students with principles of entrepreneurship, leadership, and CSR in the context of sustainability. Group discussions and in class activities will be a large aspect of the course. The following topics will be covered during the course: 1. Principles of entrepreneurship, leadership, and CSR in the context of sustainability. 2. Competitiveness in sustainability entrepreneurship and challenges in modern world. 3. Vision, goals, motivation, decision-making, skills and behaviors associated with effective leadership for sustainability. 4. Advanced concepts of CSR and environmental management tools portfolio. 5. Limiting / improving the social / environmental impact of business. 6. Design, analysis and application of environmental management procedures, processes and systems. |

Omawiane będą m. in. cele zrównoważonego rozwoju, praca w systemie zrównoważonego rozwoju, godna praca i wzrost gospodarczy, stan dochodów i zatrudnienia na świecie, bariery w zatrudnieniu, polityka promująca możliwości gospodarcze i przyszłość pracy w szybko zmieniającym się świecie, równouprawnienie jako instrument poprawy sytuacji kobiet i mężczyzn na rynku pracy i w poszczególnych sektorach rynku pracy, prawa jako instrumentu osiągania celów zrównoważonego rozwoju. |
