Skrócony opis:	(tylko po angielsku) This introductory class presents the basic topics in developmental psychology. The main theories of development and the newest empirical data with regard to human development during childhood will be discussed.
Efekty uczenia się:	(tylko po angielsku) Upon completing this course, a Student - explains the differences between different study designs in developmental psychology. - defines basic concepts in developmental psychology, identifies key theories and discusses certain classic and recent studies. - identifies key milestones in human motor, cognitive, communicative, social and emotional development from birth to middle childhood.

Pełny opis:	The aim of this course is to introduce the Students to the area of developmental psychology. We will start by defining development as a continuous, cumulative and holistic process. We will discuss the issue of developmental changes and their origins. We will give an overview of research methods and theories in developmental psychology. We will discuss, one by one, the key areas in human development from birth to late childhood: biological, cognitive development, communicative, emotional and social.
