  • the annual hourly workload of the student’s work required to achieve the expected learning outcomes for a given stage is 1500-1800h, corresponding to 60 ECTS;
  • the student’s weekly hourly workload is 45 h;
  • 1 ECTS point corresponds to 25-30 hours of student work needed to achieve the assumed learning outcomes;
  • weekly student workload necessary to achieve the assumed learning outcomes allows to obtain 1.5 ECTS;

Short description:

The lecture's aim is to present the most important issues in the history of music in Poland from the 10th to the beginnings of 18th century. The most important cultural institutions responsible for promoting musical culture and the figures, sources and works representing it will be presented.

Learning outcomes:

Basic knowledge of Polish musical culture in the medieval ages, the Renaissance and Baroque periods, the knowledge of the most important issues related to this subject, primarily musical repertoire used in the composition techniques and stylistic trends visible there.

The basis of the course is to pass the exam which will proof the gained knowledge.
